MoNkey MoVeMeNtS

Monkey Movements are exercises that mimic the movements of animals. You’ll start essentially getting the sense on how we move like animals to improve the function of the human animal incorporating dynamic movements that we perform one after the other, creating a “flow¨ as in a vinyasa practice style. You’ll learn to combine a flow of moves by linking them together in a fluid sequence, seamlessly transferring energy from one move to the next. Flows may be a choreographed sequence practiced over multiple sessions, or may be created freestyle.

YiN INtRoDuCtoRy

yoga is a quiet meditative practice perfect to BALANCE the Yang of our fast paced live style.  It is a SLOW paced style of yoga with LONG HELD postures designed to release tentions by working on the FASCIA, the connective tissues that wraps the muscles.

Yin lays his foundation on CINESE MEDICINE and the energetic lines that run all over our body known as MERIDIANS, which, if properly stimulated have an impact on our ORGANS.

 This workshop will be a well rounded approach on the principles and concept on Yin Yoga as well as an opportunity to TUNE INWARDS,  cultivating a relationship with OURSELVES, our internal reponses and the FLUCTUATIONS of the MIND through the understanding of the physiological BENEFIT of the practice.

DiSCoVeR YoGa NidRa

Yoga Nidra, which is derived from the tantras, is a powerful technique in which you learn to relax consciously. In Yoga Nidra, sleep is not regarded as relaxation. For absolute relaxation you must remain aware. This is a state of dynamic sleep, a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The term Yoga Nidra is derived from two Sanskrit words, yoga meaning union or one-pointed awareness, and Nidra which means sleep. During the practice, one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. Yoga Nidra is often referred to as psychic sleep or deep relaxation with inner awareness. In this threshold state between sleep and wakefulness, contact with the subconscious and unconscious dimensions occurs spontaneously.

During the practice, the state of relaxation is reached by turning inwards, away from outer experiences. If the consciousness can be separated from external awareness and from sleep, it becomes very powerful and can be applied in many ways, for example, to develop the memory, increase knowledge and creativity, or transform one's nature. In the raja yoga of Patanjali there is a state called pratyahara where the mind and mental awareness are dissociated from the sensory channels. Yoga Nidra is one aspect of Pratyahara which leads to the higher states of concentration and Samadhi.

This 2hour workshop is a combination of myofascial release techniques, active release techniques, self-massage with physio roller and massage balls and restorative yoga poses. Great to help your muscle recovery and a perfect complementing to your training.
